"Nebraska and Tulane offered me this week," Smith said. "They both like how I can go up and get the ball and my ball skills."

Jaylen Smith saw his role increase last season as he caught 33 passes for 724 yards and nine touchdowns.

"It was a disappointing season, not performance wise, but we had the number one record in our District and got beat in the first round. My individual performance was great. I stepped it up from my sophomore season. I went from a person that was not put in the position to make plays to a person who became a big playmaker for us. I adopted a no non-sense type of approach in the open field. Instead of looking for a way out I was looking to get in the end zone. My speed really improved. I was running in the low 4.7's my sophomore season and worked hard in the offseason to get it down to a 4.5 flat. Catching has always come natural to me, but I got a lot faster and that really helped me."
